Prateek Babbar is a seasoned professional in the field of immigration, having dedicated himself to the practice since 2012. Currently serving as a Director at Settle Immigration Services Inc., Prateek brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. His commitment to the profession extends beyond his practice, as evidenced by his appointment as a Board of Director at the CAPIC in May 2021.

At CAPIC, Prateek's contributions have been invaluable. Serving as Vice-Chair of the Board, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision. He is also currently serving as a Chair of Policy Committee. His previous roles as Treasurer at CAPIC and member of the Finance and Audit Committee at the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), now known as the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), further underscores his dedication to upholding industry standards and best practices.

Prateek's involvement in lobbying efforts at CAPIC has also been noteworthy. He has successfully orchestrated meetings with influential figures such as Hon. Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour Skills & Trade Development of Ontario, and federal opposition ministers from the Conservative Party, including former Shadow Immigration Minister, Jasraj Hallan, and current Shadow Immigration Minister, Tom Kmiec. He has attended various stakeholder meetings with IRCC Assistant Director, Tammy-Lynn Romain. These interactions have allowed him to advocate for the interests of immigration professionals and their clients at the highest levels of government.

In addition to his extensive experience in immigration, Prateek holds a diploma in Accounting from Humber College. His background in finance has equipped him with strong financial literacy and a keen understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes. During his tenure with the Finance and Audit Committee at both CAPIC and ICCRC, Prateek played a crucial role in reviewing financial statements and ensuring sound fiscal management.

Looking ahead, Prateek is eager to continue serving on the Board of CAPIC. He is deeply committed to the organization's mission and vision of promoting excellence in immigration consulting and safeguarding the interests of both practitioners and clients. Through his re-election, Prateek aims to further contribute to CAPIC's goals of professional development, advocacy, and industry advancement, ultimately enhancing the integrity and reputation of the immigration profession in Canada.
